What our Guests had to say about Villa Santorini

a

Perfect!

Diane S July 2021

Perfect location and breathtaking view. The house manager, Vanda, ensured that all our needs were met. She provided excellent tour recommendations and made all the arrangements for us. House cleaner came daily to keep the home in excellent condition. The house was spacious, the air conditioning in all the rooms was strong. Absolutely perfect holiday!

Very special location!

Gabriela C July 2021

The property is wonderful, clean, large, perfectly located if one wants to be in Imerovigli, the heart of Santorini sunny experience. Wonderful communication with owners and with local administrator of the property. We consider coming back in the future.

Pictures don't do it justice

David W July 2022

I can't say enough good things. The communication with property managers was fantastic. Santorini is even more beautiful than we expected. We loved how quiet Imerovigli is compared to Fira and Oia. Can't wait to come back.

Outstanding Location!

Thomas Z Aug.2022

Pictures dont give justice to this property. Imerovigli is the place place to stay on the island. It is perfectly located, the views you get from 3 different outdoor sittings on the property are marvelous. The team communicated with us perfectly. I will recommend this place to anyone and would come back here myself. Thank you

Amazing location!

Ken W Sept.2022

We had a fantastic time in this property. The location was perfect with an unbelievable view of the Caldera. It was great to lounge in the pool and peer out over the cliff side houses. The advance help we received was great and the staff made sure we had everything we needed to ensure a wonderful trip. We often used the team to set up taxi service or restaurant reservations which was very helpful. Overall it was a spectacular location and very well maintained.

Perfect Villa in Santorini

Michael P Oct.2022

A fantastic place to stay with a family in Santorini. Imerovigli is a brilliant place to stay, away from the cruise ships at Fira and with better views. The Villa is wonderful, great first impression and even better to spend the week there. One of the few properties with a genuinely private pool and sitting areas. And at the same time providing one of the best views on the island. Easy to stay without needing a car and then rent for a day or two for longer excursions. The three big bedrooms are beautiful and loads of extra space, for the whole family to relax. Pool was great. And the hosts were impeccable- very friendly, extremely responsive and very helpful with quick advice on restaurants, boats etc. We loved the holiday.

Best house best location in Santorini!

I have been remiss in posting a review of Villa Santorini because I have been spending my time raving to friends and family about this spectacular house. We walked the entire island and couldn't find a place that we would rather be. We are a blended family of 7 and the three decks and layout of the house ensured everyone had their privacy but we could come together as a family, too. My 17 year old son said the view from the pool was his favorite part of the entire trip. Vanda was fantastic welcoming us and providing us with information about the island. She also coordinated a transfer from the dock to the house. We did not rent a car but walked almost everywhere. We did take the bus to the beach which worked fine. There is a cute grocery store near by to stock up on supplies. Could not recommend this home highly enough!!

Can't begin to describe it!

Ken 2017

Aside from the challenges of getting to Santorini on frequent flyer miles, everything else about the week was extraordinary. Arrival and transport, check-in and meeting Vanda, even late at night, was perfect. While the view from the villa at night is special, it is only a small preview of the morning. Spectacular. The villa is perfect for 6 people, a little less so for 8, but a unique setting and we and our adult children and their significant others four days it to be the vacation of a lifetime.

You can research the island and find enough to keep you busy for a week - we did a catamaran cruise, wine tour, a day on the black sand beach (not cowded if you're early) and regular walks down to Fira. Cab it home if the climb back to Imerovigli is too tiring the first time. And, just sitting on the decks and watching the cruise ships come and go. Spectacular sunsets.

Wife surprised me with a renewal of our vows (35years) and one son surprised his girlfriend with a proposal. Couldn't. Find a better place on the planet to do that.

Stellar!

Clean, comfortable, spectacular views, very representative of the beauty of the island. Easily accessible to all activities. Wonderful owners and outstanding property manager who make your stay very personal. One of the best vacations we have had and among the top accommodations we have had in 20 years of traveling.

Stunning views. Peaceful, private, and relaxing. Lovely home and terrific location!

We stayed five nights and I would gladly return to this house in the future! It exceeded my expectations!

Lovely villa with spectacular views of the Caldera! Vanda was fantastic!

Mary R 2017

We stayed at Villa Santorini for 8 days with 6 people. It's a great location away from all the noise of Thira but only 20-25 minute walk away. Although there isn't a sunset view from the villa, one only has to walk a short way to see it. The view of the Caldera from the villa is spectacular and that's what we wanted. Vanda will go over all the must see areas around the island and different ways to do it. I suggest that you arrange your arrival to and from Port or airport with her. They were always there waiting for us. The Villa sleeps 8 comfortably. Bathrooms are great. Someone comes in every day while you are gone to make beds and do some cleaning. Never had a security issue and always felt safe and secure. Love all the different levels of deck area all with incredible views. It was great to come back to the villa at the end of a long day of fun and kick back with no one else but us. We would definitely stay here again!! Thank you for a memorable stay on Santorini.

Stunning Views , well appointed Villa

Tracy-Ann 2017

Imerovigli is a picturesque, quiet village near the north of Santorini. In truth there's not much more than some supermarkets and a few restaurants in the village and they are as a result quite expensive. The upside, however, is that it's a wonderfully restful, tranquil location and you can get a decent night's sleep probably not possible in busier resorts. The capital, Fera, is a mile and a half away - an easy and pleasant stroll along the coastal path for dinner. This villa is perfect for a family or a group of friends - clean, comfortable, well appointed and with a pool that may appear to be small but in comparison with other properties in the village is actually very generous. And the views - utterly stunning. The cleaner comes daily but her presence is not intrusive and Vanda the villa manager is helpful and friendly. I only disagree with her on one point - DO make the journey north to Oia for the sunset. Yes, it's a tricky drive and yes, it's very crowded but it's worth the trouble. I can't speak highly enough about this villa, my family had a wonderful week and will definitely be back

Lovely Villa Santorini

Susannah 2017

The villa is situated between the towns of Fira and Oia. This is just far enough from the crowds yet closet enough to walk to Fira for dinner. It is very peaceful and quite while in the home and enjoying the pool area and yet the busy pedestrian path is just behind the villa so it's the best of both worlds! The villa is spacious with three bedrooms and three baths. Vanda is the caretaker and is extremely helpful in making reservations and such for your island activities. She really cares about you while you stay there. She even emailed me after we left to make sure that we safely made our ferry connections and arrived at our next location safely. So nice! I highly recommend Villa Santorini!!!

Just Magnificent

Jeff G. (Hawthorn, Victoria, Australia) 2016
We spent a week at Villa Santorini in July and loved every minute of it. There are 7 of us (2 adults and 5 children aged 16 to 8) and there was plenty of room. The villa's white stone interior is elegant and cool. It was hot every day we were there and we barely needed to use the air-con. The view is breathtaking. Over the course of the week we looked at the island from many angles and I'm not sure there is any better view than that from the breakfast courtyard/pool at this villa. And Imerovigli is definitely the pick of the locations to stay. We almost chose Fira, but it is a little hectic at times. Imerovigli has the view and tavernas and atmosphere, without the bustle. The pool is not large (and it is due for a re-tiling) but it is plenty big enough to cool off. It also has the rare Santorini distinction of not being overlooked by those above and around. John and Susan were great with all communications. Plenty of helpful info and very efficient with email responses. Vanda who welcomes you and lets you in) is a goldmine of local information and can't do enough to help.

Paradise at Villa Santorini

Glacia (Atlanta, Georgia) 2016
I wish that I could awaken each morning to the glorious view at Villa Santorini! The property description and photos of the property are spot-on and the owner and property manger are responsive to your every need. The Villa is maintained beautifully and the daily cleaning was great. The villa is spotless. The sound system is great for entertaining. The location of this Villa is ideal--great restaurants nearby, local shopping for in-house meals, and car-rental is only paces away. Vanda will provide you with great sight-seeing options--and she knows the island VERY well. Be sure to take a sailing trip with Captain Ted--it was one of the highlights of our trip, and we also have made some new friends with that sailing trip. My husband and I traveled with another couple and we were all very comfortable at Villa Santorini. Lots of space and the views, morning, noon, and sunset were spectacular.

A Dream Come True

bea_001 (Bogota, Colombia) 2016
This was our first trip to Greece and had high expectations about it. Villa Santorini is a dream come true. Dealing with the owners was fluent and they were patient enough to answer promptly all our inquiries. The decoration is absolutely gorgeous, with beautiful art work and furniture and the view is just breathtaking. Vanda, the house manager, a delightful greek lady, recommended places to visit, dine and shop in the island. Julia, the housekeeper, came in daily to change linens and towels.

A Dream Villa

tootootango (Baltimore, MD) 2015
What a lucky find! When we decided to visit Santorini, I searched the internet for a villa that would accommodate 6 adults (not so easy to find since most sleep 4 with 2 on couches or cots). Villa Santorini seemed to match our needs with 3 full bedrooms and 3 baths. The photos on the web were enticing, but didn’t compare to the real thing! What a beautiful home. The view, the convenience, the professionally decorated interior — we couldn’t have found a better place. We were so pleased with Vanda, the house manager, who guided us to the most wonderful restaurants, shops and places of interest on the island and Julie who kept the villa spotless the entire time we were there. I’d highly recommend Villa Santorini to anyone who wants to experience the comfort and beauty of a “real” Greek villa.

Beautiful Villa in Santorini

We recently vacationed in Santorini. This Imerovigli villa is superbly situated, the views are superb. It is very spacious and very quiet and comfortable. Our family spent an extraordinary week. Thank you.

Perfect Perch on Santorini

Jordi H. (Northampton, MA USA) 2015
We just wanted to thank you, belatedly, for a wonderful stay. The house worked perfectly for our family of five ages 1.5 to 65 and I recommend it highly. The location, the views, the aesthetic were all just right. We delighted in walking to the local markets and bakery, sampling local specialties (Tsipou Raki!) and eating on any of the three decks gazing over the Caldera where both the sunrise and sunset were a marvel. The beds were firm (no small thing) and despite the openness of the views we felt a real sense of privacy.Walking to Fira was a breeze (even with a toddler and a three year old) but it was perfect to be in Imerovigli at a remove from the hubub and tourist onslaught. Eating places overlooking the water including the Imerovigli tavern nearby and the lovely (and generous) family run Flame of the Volcano on the outskirts of Fira were high points. The homes location (and the helpful Alta car rental along with ubiquitous cheap cabs) made visiting other points very easy -- our trips to Oia/Amoudi (for sunset and dinner RIGHT on the water) as well as more remote black sand beaches and the still-warm-in-October Aegean were standouts. The photos do not do the place justice, though it is a pleasure to have the surprise be in the right direction!!

Magical - The pictures don't do it justice!

Morgan & Iain (Chicago, IL USA) 2014
We stayed at Villa Santorini for the week of our wedding - and it was the perfect accommodation for our wedding party. The Villa is centrally located in Imerovigli within walking distance to the nightlife and restaurants at Fira, but far away enough that you don't feel on top of it. You'd think that the traditional cave rooms would be rustic - but the villa has been updated with all of the modern amenities (like wireless, laundry machines, modern appliances, ipod station/stereo, etc.) and the property manager Vanda (one of our favorite people) makes sure that the place stays spotless. The rooms are a good size and the place easily sleeps 3 couples. The villa is laid out nicely, so that you have three separate balconies overlooking the caldera - a nice, lattice-covered sitting area at the top level, a smaller balcony with a sweetheart table for the top bedroom, and a large balcony on the main floor with full dining set, small pool and lounge chairs for sunning. I would not recommend Santorini in general for people in wheelchairs/ trouble walking. There are many steep hills and all of the hotels/villas have stairs to climb. Having a functioning kitchen was especially nice. We visited the local market in the mornings and picked up fresh fish for dinners. The villa also has a grill, so my husband and his buddies were in heaven. We spent a week at the villa and are definitely going back!

Memories!

Brenda Baker (Minnesota) 2014
Our group of 7 stayed at the villa the last week in August and loved every minute of our stay. Two 21 year olds and two preschoolers under the age of four included. The villa was beautiful and had everything we needed. The view was as promised and the local village had very friendly shop owners, great resturants and a bakery. You could rent a car easily to go to near by beaches or to explore the wineries. Would recommend the villa and hope to return again. They do have daily housekeeping service which was nice and also Vanda the caretaker to meet you and tell you about great things to do.

Great!

Erum, Marin County, CA 2014
We stayed at Villa Santorini with another family ( July 2009) and found the villa to be very comfortable and spacious. The location was excellent - close to shops/ restaurants and only a 25-30 min walk to Fira (with kids!). The local village was great also. Susan and John and Vanda were extremely helpful with all our questions during and before the trip. It was really nice to be in a place with all the comforts of home - the beds were comfy , there was wifi and all the small details were thought of. The terraces at the villa were amazing and most nights we found it hard to justify leaving for dinner as we literally had the best view in town! Having said that, I would highly recommend Naoussa for dinner in Fira. We also found a great jewelry shop called Agean Designs on the path from the villa to Fira - a lovely Australian lady hand makes all the stuff. Overall we had an amazing week in Santorini - wish we had more time!

"This is so much better than I thought"

Ann Shuch (New Jersey) 2014
I knew the villa looked beautiful from the website but my daughter summed it up best on arrival when she said, "This is so much better than I thought it was going to be." From then on we had the best time. It was liked living in paradise for a week. The villa was beautiful and comfortable. Vanda was incredibly helpful and the people of Santorini are warm and friendly. We all thought the villa was in the perfect location, near enough to easily get to anything, food, rentals, restaurants, yet far enough away so you didn't feel like you were in the middle of town. I highly recommend Villa Santorini. When we were leaving I thought I should have stayed another week!

WOW!

Anonymous 2013
Wow, what a cool place. What a great vacation. The view is stunning, the villa is really well- appointed, Vanda the caretaker is sweet and a huge help. Having a kitchen and a clothes washer is a big bonus. The outdoor areas of the villa are a great place to hang out -- there are so many outdoor levels that everybody has their own space if they want it. I loved the location because there were plenty of restaurants and places to buy what you need, etc. and yet you weren't taken over by crowds when the cruise ships came in (if you want that, the town of Fira is close by). Also, if you ever need to rent a car, the car place is close and really friendly. Anyway, you won't be disappointed. Wish we were still there!
